In collaboration with the SUNY Buffalo State School of Education and Educational Leadership Department, IGPE has adapted the Teacher Leader Certificate of Advanced Study (C.A.S.) to accommodate and be accessible to international educators. The C.A.S. courses address many powerful ways teachers, as leaders, can: (1) affect education policy; (2) create constant improvement through innovative practices; and (3) solve critical issues in schools and districts. Unique to the C.A.S. is deliberate training in creative problem solving, a strong curriculum leadership component as well as thorough understandings of the needs of site-based leaders. The C.A.S. is open to teachers that have earned a master’s degree and meet admissions requirements as outlined in the link below. The 10-credit program includes three courses at three credits each and a one-credit capstone seminar.
