Buffalo State welcomes qualified applicants seeking intellectual enrichment and professional advancement through advanced study in The Master of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies through the International Graduate Programs for Educators.
A completed application can take up to four (4) months to complete, so please plan in advance. For general information on how to apply for graduate admissions through the International Graduate Programs for Educators, please contact Nicole Calamunci email@example.com
IGPE-facilitated micro-credentials verify, validate, and attest that specific skills and/or competencies have been achieved and are endorsed by SUNY Buffalo State departments and programs. Approved micro-credentials have been developed through established faculty governance processes to be meaningful in application and high quality in design and implementation. IGPE facilitates four SUNY Buffalo State-recognized micro-credentials: (1) curricular; (2) professional pathways; (3) skill and competency; and (4) continuing education.
In collaboration with the School of Education and Educational Leadership Department we have adapted SUNY Buffalo State's Teacher Leader, Certificate of Advanced Study for international educators. We are excited to announce that the first international Teacher Leader C.A.S. cohort will begin in late spring of 2021.
The Teacher Leader courses address the many powerful ways teachers can, as leaders, meet what a coalition of State Education Chiefs and District Superintendents (called Chiefs for Change) have outlined as three key challenges: affect education policy, create constant improvement through innovative practices, and solve critical issues in schools and districts. Our office is excited to offer IGPE alumni the opportunity to continue learning and advance their understanding of our everchanging educational landscape. Please note that students must have completed their master’s degree prior to being considered for the certificate of advanced study.
In addition to a Master of Science degree, SUNY Buffalo State offers the option of graduate credit for regional education association conferences, institutes, and other special projects as well as workshops through the International Graduate Programs for Educators.
If you are a workshop or conference facilitator and would like more information on how to submit for graduate credit for professional development opportunities for review please contact Dr. Michael Lovorn at firstname.lastname@example.org
