The Application for Degree Candidacy form is a written agreement outlining the courses necessary to receive a degree. All students must complete an Application for Degree Candidacy form, approved by the student’s principal advisor. Students are expected to submit this form to the International Graduate Programs for Educators before the completion of 12 credit hours. The application lists the courses that the student will be taking to fulfill their requirements for their master’s degree. It also lists the courses the student is looking to transfer into the program.
Please note that if students take courses not included on their approved degree candidacy form, it may prohibit them from graduating. It is the student's responsibility to complete the courses approved on this form and email their advisor if they plan to make changes to the form. This includes potential transfer credits that are submitted for evaluation after the Application for Degree Candidacy has already been approved.
